Debut Spotlight: C.J. Lyons

The first Debut Spotlight feature last week proved a huge hit with readers so you all, like me, obviously like discovering new authors.

Today's guest under the spotlight is American author C.J Lyons, a self-publishing phenomenon in the US who has topped the New York Times bestsellers list.  Fortunately for us UK readers we'll soon have the chance to discover her books for ourselves, the first of her books to be available here, Blind Faith, is being published by Sphere on 14th February.

When her husband and son are murdered, she thought she'd lost it all. But for Sarah Durandt the nightmare is just beginning . . .

Sarah has just witnessed the execution of the man who confessed to killing her husband and son, among others. Returning home to the small town of Hopewell, Sarah vows to search for the graves of her murdered family - something the killer would never reveal. But her hunt leads to shocking revelations and in a race to save everything she holds dear, Sarah is forced to swallow the ultimate betrayal and the cruellest of lies.

A trained medic and crisis counselor, C.J. Lyons has assisted with many difficult cases involving abuse, rape and homicide. Winner of the Golden Gateway, Readers' Choice, and Daphne du Maurier awards, her short story 'Scutwork' was selected to appear in First Thrills, an anthology edited by Lee Child, featuring the best of today's thriller bestsellers and the future stars of tomorrow.
