Today it's our stop on The Stylist blog tour with a debut spotlight feature for journalist and author Rosie Nixon including a review of The Stylist from Kelly.

When Amber Green, a shop assistant in an exclusive London boutique is plucked from obscurity and mistakenly offered a job working with Mona Armstrong, the infamous, jet-setting 'stylist to the stars', she hits the ground running, helping to style some of Hollywood's hottest (and craziest) starlets.

As awards season spins into action Mona is in hot demand and Amber's life turned upside down. Suddenly she catching the attention of two very different suitors, TV producer Rob and Hollywood bad boy rising star Liam. How will Amber keep her head? And what the hell will everyone wear?

Check out what Kelly thought of The Stylist in her review below.

Amber Green has landed her dream job as a stylist to the stars.  Fed up of working in a boutique in boring London, Amber jumps when she gets the opportunity to work as a stylist to the rich and famous in the glitzy world of Hollywood.  However, Amber is about to find out that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.  What ensues is a hilarious, fast pace and thoroughly entertaining read.

I have been in a serious reading slump lately and have started and given up on too many books, but The Stylist was just what I needed to get back into reading again.  It is everything that I look for in a good book, it has great characters, it’s funny and it just flows straight off the page.  I really didn’t know what to expect from this book, but within minutes of starting it I was hooked.  It was nearly impossible to put it down once I had gotten into it and had it not been for the fact that I had so much college work to do, I probably would have gotten this read in one sitting.

The thing that makes this book stand out from the crowd is without a doubt the character of Amber.  I just adored her from the very first page and I was so excited to see where her adventures took her.  I laughed and cried with her and when things didn’t go right for her, I felt genuinely upset for her.  I loved how she was brave enough to follow her dream, which is something that not many people get a chance to do.

Above all else, The Stylist is entertaining.  There is not a page of this book that will disappoint you.  I like how this book doesn’t take itself too seriously and what you see is what you get.  The Stylist is an easy read, but is thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end.  The writing style used by Rosie Nixon suits this book perfectly and once you start this book, the pages seem to turn themselves.  I often think of a book as funny, bit it’s not very often that a book makes me actually laugh out loud numerous times.  The Stylist managed to do this, with it’s comedy moments and quick, witty one liners.

As I was reading this book on dark, dull winter days in Ireland, I loved how once I picked up my kindle, I was transported to the glitz and glam world of Hollywood.  The Stylist is the perfect book to cuddle up in front of the fire with, but I can see this book also accompanying some readers on the beach this summer.  The Stylist is a must read.
