Can Andi Evans find the strength to start again?

Betrayed and broken-hearted, Andi's redundancy is one shock too many. Suddenly single and in debt, a summer working in the pretty Cornish town of Rock seems the perfect solution.Determined never to trust again, will a chance meeting with a stranger change her mind?

Andi's sister, Angel, is determined to find a man who can keep her in style. Heading to Rock, summer playground of the rich and famous, seems an inspired idea until a misunderstanding threatens to end a romance that has started to mean more to her than she ever expected...

Actress Gemma is no stranger to diets and disappointments. As the future of her career hangs in the balance, Gemma hopes a summer in Cornwall solves her problems. With a reality TV show being filmed in the seaside town surely she can avoid the pasty shops and win herself a role.

Arriving in idyllic Cornwall, all three girls are hoping for a holiday to remember. But will this be for the right reasons? Or, as emotions run higher than the tide, will the summer escape turn their lives upside down?

Escape for the Summer is about three women who want to escape London and go to Rock for the summer, the 'in-place' where all the rich and famous go to enjoy the lovely Cornish sunshine.

Andi Evans wants to refocus after losing her job after months of hard work, finding her boyfriend in bed with a neighbour and having all funds taken from her bank account on the same day.  Her sister Angel Evans goes to find herself a rich, and hopefully famous, boyfriend so that she can buy everything she wants...all the better if he is good looking as well.

Gemma Pengelley is a wanna be actress who is told by her agent that she needs to lose weight or she will be dropped from her books so she heads to Cornwall with her friends to try to get herself a place on a weight loss reality show being filmed.

Told through alternating chapters, we follow the girls as they leave their disastrous lives behind and head to Cornwall to try and get the lives they want.

I really enjoyed this book and struggled to put it down, the characters are all fun and you really start to care about them even Angel who at first seemed so self-absorbed. The overriding feeling is that you want them to find true happiness.

A feel-good read for the summer especially if you are on holiday in Cornwall.

I'd like to thank Ruth for sending me a copy of this eBook to review and Tanya for reviewing it for the blog.
